      History And Location
      Popularly known as the Pink City, Jaipur is the capital of the historic and elegant state of Rajasthan. Famous for its colorful nature and beautiful architectural landscapes, Jaipur was founded on 18th November 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II from Amber, nearly 11 kms away from Jaipur.

      This ‘modern thinking’ ruler of his times had interests in the field of astronomy and modern physics and felt the need to shift his capital city, due to the increase in population and shortage of water supply for its people. Thus was formed, what we know as, the marvelous city "Jaipur".
      How To Get There
      Jaipur is one of the important cities in India and is well-connected will all the major well modes of travel.

      Climatic Pattern & Best time to visit Jaipur
      Rajasthan is a state famous for its deserts and hot climate. Hence, the capital city, Jaipur experiences the same. Accompanied with hot summers, Jaipur is also faced with extremely cold winters.
      • Summer (March - May) – Jaipur faces extreme hot temperatures, up to nearly 47 degrees celsius. It is advisable not to visit Jaipur during these months as apart from the rise in temperature, the city also faces hot winds which may lead to colds and flu.
      • Monsoon (June-September) – For rain lovers, this can be considered the apt time to visit Jaipur. With the rain making the trees more greener and the architectural landscapes finer, Jaipur becomes more appealing to the senses.
      • Winter (October to February) – Considered as the best season to visit Jaipur, most tourists plan their visits during the winters. During the months of December and January, the mercury levels are expected to hit a low as 4 degrees, but tourists enjoy every moment of it.

      City Palace is one of the most visited tourist places in Jaipur, City palace is a marvelous display of India’s ethnic culture and tradition. Its huge walls and beautiful architecture reminds you of your childhood storybooks and TV soaps. A must see is the Peacock Gate which is an alluring display of fine craftsmanship.
      Hawa Mahal
      Popularly known as the "Palace of winds", Hawa Mahal was built for the women of the royal family. The palace has many windows that facilitate the flow of wind, making for a comfortable stay, even during the hot summers which Jaipur faces.
      Sisodia Rani Ka Bagh
      This garden is a display of the love of the Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh for his wife. As one gifts flowers to his/ her loved one, this Maharaja built and gifted this beautiful garden to his wife. Located 10 kms away from Jaipur, this is a visual delight nature lovers.
